Home > FAQ
Can I request samples before placing a full production order? Yes. We provide material samples for all standard carbon fiber fabric weaves, pultruded plate thicknesses, and chopped carbon fiber cut lengths. Standard sample rolls of 1–5 linear meters are available for qualification testing, typically shipped within 48 hours for in-stock items. Customers pay sample costs and shipping for the initial evaluation; these fees are commonly credited against a subsequent production order. Technical data sheets, including tensile strength, fiber areal weight, and resin content where applicable, accompany every sample shipment to support your qualification process.
How does your production capacity support large-volume orders? Our facility operates seven carbon fiber weaving looms, four carbon fiber plate extrusion lines, and two prepreg machines. This capacity supports monthly production of approximately 80,000 linear meters of woven carbon fiber fabric, 150 tons of pultruded carbon fiber plate, and 20,000 square meters of unidirectional or woven prepreg. For large-volume programs — wind energy spar caps, automotive OEM body panels, construction strengthening projects — we schedule dedicated production runs and offer annual or multi-year supply agreements with committed capacity reservation.
What is the standard lead time from order confirmation to shipment? Lead time depends on whether the product is in stock or requires production. In-stock standard carbon fiber fabric, plate, and samples ship within 3–7 business days of payment confirmation. Custom-produced carbon fiber fabric typically ships 15–25 business days after order confirmation. Pultruded carbon fiber plate in custom dimensions and prepreg production runs require 25–35 business days. Large-volume contract orders are scheduled based on production capacity and agreed milestones. We confirm the exact shipment window in writing on the proforma invoice before payment is collected.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for carbon fiber fabric and plate? MOQ varies by product form. For standard stock woven carbon fiber fabric (3K, 6K, 12K in plain or twill weave), our MOQ is typically 50 linear meters per roll, though sample rolls of 1–5 meters are available for qualification testing. For pultruded carbon fiber plate, the MOQ is generally 100 kg for standard profiles. Chopped carbon fiber starts at 25 kg per specification. Custom fabric weights, widths, or colored carbon fiber weaves may require higher MOQs; our sales team can confirm specific thresholds once your specification is defined. We accommodate smaller pilot quantities for R&D and prototype projects on request.
Do you offer technical consultation during the product selection phase? Yes. Our engineering team supports customers during specification development, providing guidance on fabric selection, layup schedule recommendations, resin compatibility, and processing parameters. For aerospace, automotive, and construction customers, this consultation includes referencing applicable standards (ACI 440.2R, fib Bulletin 14, AMS 3970-series, IEC 61400). We also provide technical input during customer qualification testing, reviewing coupon test results and recommending adjustments to fabric specification or processing conditions as needed. This engineering support is available at no additional cost for qualified projects.
Can you develop a new product specification that is not in your current catalog? Our R&D center is equipped to develop custom carbon fiber fabric, pultruded plate, and prepreg formulations matched to specific application requirements. Typical custom development cycles run 4–12 weeks from specification agreement to qualified sample delivery, depending on complexity. Examples of recent development projects include hybrid carbon-aramid weaves for impact-resistant applications, specialty spread-tow fabric for visible aerospace interiors, and custom surface treatments for improved bonding with specific epoxy and vinyl ester resin systems. Development costs are discussed case by case and are often shared between us and the OEM partner.
Do you accept OEM and private-label orders? Yes. We regularly supply OEM and private-label customers, including automotive aftermarket brands, sports equipment manufacturers, and specialty composite fabricators. Our OEM service includes customized packaging (neutral, client-branded, or co-branded), product labeling per your specifications, and documentation aligned with your internal material codes. Intellectual property protection is formalized through mutual non-disclosure agreements signed before any technical exchange. For brands requiring continuous OEM supply, we can reserve dedicated production capacity under an annual framework agreement.
What customization options are available for carbon fiber fabric and plate? We customize fabric weight (areal weight from 160 to 600 g/m²), weave pattern (plain, twill, satin, spread-tow), tow count (3K, 6K, 12K, and specialty counts), fabric width, roll length, and surface sizing treatment. For pultruded carbon fiber plate, we produce custom thicknesses, widths, and length cuts. Chopped carbon fiber is available in 3 mm, 6 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm, and 20 mm standard lengths; intermediate lengths can be produced for qualified volumes. Colored carbon fiber fabric is produced in red, blue, silver, gold, and custom shade variants.
How is carbon fiber fabric and plate packaged for international shipment? Carbon fiber fabric rolls are wrapped in moisture-barrier film, placed on protective cores, and packed in reinforced cartons or wooden crates depending on destination and transit mode. Pultruded carbon fiber plates are bundled with protective spacers and crated in wooden cases that protect against bending and edge damage during transit. Prepreg products ship in refrigerated packaging with temperature indicators; prepreg is packed with dry ice or gel packs for air freight and refrigerated containers for sea freight, consistent with cold-chain requirements. All packaging is designed to withstand multi-modal international freight without product degradation.
What shipping methods do you use, and how are Incoterms handled? We ship by sea freight (FCL and LCL), air freight for urgent shipments, and international courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS) for samples and small orders. Standard Incoterms offered include FOB (major Chinese ports, typically Shanghai or Ningbo), CIF, CFR, and DDP for qualifying destinations. We coordinate with freight forwarders nominated by the customer or use our own forwarding partners depending on the agreed Incoterm. Full shipping documentation — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, certificate of origin, and material certificates — is provided within two business days of shipment.
What payment methods and terms do you accept? We accept international wire transfer (T/T), letter of credit (L/C at sight or with deferred payment), and for qualified long-term customers, open account (O/A) with agreed payment terms. Standard new-customer terms are 30 percent deposit on order confirmation with 70 percent balance payable before shipment. For repeat customers and volume contracts, we offer 30/70 payment splits with net 30 to net 60 terms on the balance. Payment is invoiced in USD or EUR; other currencies can be arranged on request. Bank details appear on every proforma invoice, and we do not accept payment to any account not explicitly listed on our official invoice.
How long will carbon fiber fabric and plate retain their properties in storage? Dry woven carbon fiber fabric stored in sealed moisture-barrier packaging at stable room temperature (15–30 °C, relative humidity below 70 percent) retains full mechanical properties for at least 24 months and typically longer. Pultruded carbon fiber plate has no meaningful shelf life in normal dry storage. Prepreg has a defined shelf life — typically 12 months at -18 °C with a documented room-temperature out-life of 30 to 45 days depending on resin formulation — and must be handled according to the product data sheet. Chopped carbon fiber retains properties indefinitely in dry, sealed storage. We mark production date on all packaging to support FIFO inventory management.
What technical support is available after delivery? Post-delivery technical support covers processing troubleshooting, handling and storage guidance, and application engineering consultation. Customers who encounter processing issues — resin infusion anomalies, cure behavior questions, bonding performance concerns — can contact our engineering team with sample specimens or process data for review. For long-term customers, we schedule periodic technical reviews to share new product developments, discuss application roadmaps, and align on future supply planning. Storage guidance is particularly important for prepreg, which requires refrigerated storage at -18 °C and has a defined out-life at room temperature documented in the product data sheet.
How do you handle product non-conformance or quality claims? Quality claims must be raised within 30 days of product receipt and supported by photographic evidence, test data where applicable, and reference to the original batch number printed on the roll or package label. We respond to claims within three business days and conduct an internal investigation of the referenced batch against our retained samples. Verified non-conformances are resolved through replacement shipment, credit note, or refund depending on the customer's preference and the nature of the issue. For significant claims involving downstream processing losses, resolution is handled through the warranty terms in the commercial agreement.
What quality certifications and test documentation do you provide? Our production facility operates under ISO 9001 quality management. Individual product test documentation typically includes tensile strength, tensile modulus, fiber areal weight, resin content (for prepregs), and dimensional tolerance results, issued as a mill certificate accompanying each shipment. For aerospace and structural strengthening customers, we can align batch testing with standards including ASTM D3039 (tensile properties), ASTM D3171 (fiber volume), and equivalent ISO test methods. Project-specific certifications (such as DNV type approval for marine applications) are supported through coordination with nominated testing laboratories.
